Opinions on weight loss surgery?
So the doctor says its safe and that it would help me in a lot of ways life make my knees get better and i would become more energetic and i would have less future health problems ....Problem now is my Fiance is a total ass about it telling me ill die and stuff like that cause he wants me to stay over weight cause his ex wife had the lap band lost some weight and dropped him but it was only cause she was a money loving bitch and he did not make 5 grand a month for her so now he is taking his past problems out on me and acting like that surgery is more dangerous than any thing out there basically i have no emotional support i do from some people but the one i love makes me not wanna do it so no emotional support system what is your out look on this? Please people who answer please be educated on this subject last thing i need is someone else acting childish like my Fiance thanks so much for any decent answers

Hi, I'm a 35 year old female who has a BMI of 40. I'm also an insulin dependant diabetic. On speaking to my diabetic nurse recently regarding my dreadful weight and unsuccessful attempts at weight loss, she informed me I may be eligible for a gastric band or bypass.I'm interested in knowing people's views on this surgery, from those that have had it done. Most importantly I'm wanting to know if anyone has regretted having the surgery. I've read up on all the pros and cons, and I shall be asking the surgeon hundreds of questions and taking my husband with me too as I believe it will affect the whole family, but I'm also interested in people's personal views too.I have spent many months at WW and other such places, and the weight is going nowhere, in spite of my best efforts, and I seriously do mean my best efforts. The frustration was immense, I'd be crying every week wondering what I'm doing wrong, hence why I want to move onto something more permanent and with better results. I've also read that in 90 % of patients with type II diabetes it actually reverses the diabetes which is amazing.Thanks for reading and any advice information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have been overweight since I had my children 14 months apart. I never had problems with my weight before this and my metabolism has slowed down. Im 17 years old and weigh 215lbs 5'7. Both my parents are over gravely over weight. Ive been trying to lose weight since I was in the 3rd grade weighd 110lbs grandma made me aware i was overweight . By the time i got into 6th grade, i weighd 180 and freaked out about my weight.I have done and stuck with many diets since 3rd grade, along with exercise, and have kept gaining weight. I have ran a mini marathon and trained for 10 months for it at least 6 miles a day . I lap swam with my sis at the ymca for a year i only ate salads and fruits and vegies . I keep gaining weight. My school makes students where uniforms... and i they make us tuck our shirts into our pants amd I HATE how my belly hangs over or my pants show my figure of my stomach horrifying . So i ALWAYS where a sweater over my uniform shirt. I have to weigh a certain amount to fullfill my ambition of becoming a police officer.... Without my ambition im the walking dead... My face always get flushed or blood red when i run for longer than 2 minutes these days get so dizzy . I have no mental dissorders & ive never ate bcause of feelings. Please dont tell me to go on a diet cause ive tried dieting up until today still gain . And dont tell me to work out still gain . Is there a weight loss surgery i can get? Any at all teen safe?
